Life Lines — Biographical Reflection Conversations
»Trust yourself. Your perception is often much more accurate than you are willing to believe.« - Claudia Black
When are biographical reflection conversations suitable?
- when there is a desire for a more intensive engagement with one’s own biographical development
- when considering possible connections and linkages in family history
- when facing difficult decisions or letting go processes in the transition to a new phase of life.
Exploring the Past
Biographical Reflection Conversations are an offer to specifically use certain Systemic Methods to engage more deeply with one’s own life path or the very personal family connections. Perhaps a particular question or topic has been accompanying you for a long time, perhaps you have the desire to pause retrospectively and appreciate what has been? Perhaps right now is the titime to consciously close a chapter of their “life novel” and begin something new under a different heading? In every life, there are boundary stones and transitions from one phase to the next. Some developmental steps are incisive, and we notice them clearly, while others take place more quietly and unobtrusively.

In the reflection discussions, we consider the loud and quiet dynamics, rhythms, influences, connections, and cross-connections of your life story in the family context and explore what these mean to you today. Shaping Transitions
Sometimes in the course of
biographical reconstruction, the desire arises later on to
_revisitto celebrate the event once more consciously, e.g., with a ritual, to say goodbye. Perhaps a thought, wish, or plan that was long forgotten comes back to the forefront.

The reflection discussions are, like all other offers, focused on your resources and allow for a multidimensional view from various directions. All people and stories that appear are viewed with great respect and neutrality. Your personal questions and concerns guide the direction and the individual depth of the process. The reflection of your memories and life stories receives the space you desire, and experiences can thus be consciously organized and understood in a uniquely meaningful context.
